MiniSevens Football Preview

After two years of Murrintown-Ballythomas finals, there will be two new contenders competing for the 2015 Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Rackard League MiniSevens Boys’ Football title. With their place already booked in the hurling decider, Ballymurn are looking at a potential MiniSevens double this year. Fantastic wins versus the back-to-back reigning champions Ballythomas and a tough St. Aidan’s side in the semi-finals will do their confidence no harm. Their opponents Rathangan qualified for the final after defeating Rathnure and Rackard League ‘A’ finalists Horeswood in the semi-final stage. They also impressed while defeating consistent finalists Murrintown at the Round Two stage.

In the Girls’ Football final, Horeswood face Kiltealy. The Horeswood girls are also still in the hunt for two titles after they qualified for the upcoming camogie final. Kiltealy come into the final on a high after defeating their Rackard League team mates Ballindaggin in an extra-time thriller of a semi-final.

Four teams looking for glory all with great credentials, this promises to be a great hour of football as the 2015 titles find new homes.
